📍 Steelhouse Appearance: 2024
🎸 Genre: Grunge / Rock 'n' Roll / Tribute Mash-Up Madness
🇬🇧 From: Newcastle upon Tyne, England

🎤 Band Bio

What happens when you take Kurt Cobain’s angst, Elvis Presley’s hip-thrusting swagger, and mash them together in a sequinned fever dream? You get Elvana – the only tribute act mad enough (and good enough) to pull it off.

Fronted by a jumpsuit-clad Elvis impersonator, the band reimagines Nirvana’s biggest hits with a Memphis twist, blending faithful grunge anthems with tongue-in-cheek showmanship. Think "Smells Like Teen Spirit" with Viva Las Vegas energy. It shouldn't work. But it absolutely does.

They’ve gone from cult curiosity to full-blown festival phenomenon – and when they hit the Steelhouse stage, the mountain had no idea what was coming.

👥 Band Members

  • 🎤 Elvis Cobain – Lead vocals (yes, that’s what he goes by)
  • 🎸 Danny Cobain – Guitar
  • 🥁 Rob Novoselic – Drums
  • 🎸 Bobby Grohl – Bass

(Note: Names may be creatively altered depending on how many pints Elvis has had.)

💿 Album List

Elvana is a live-only spectacle – there are no official albums, but they’ve released some recorded tracks and live bootlegs for fans. Songs often include:

  • Smells Like Teen Spirit (with added pelvis)
  • Heart-Shaped Box
  • In Bloom
  • Plus surprise Elvis/Nirvana mashups like A Little Less Conversation / Breed

🏔️ Steelhouse Festival – 2024 Performance

Set Vibe:
The mountain got grunged-up, shaken-down, and serenaded by The King himself. One moment the pit was moshing, the next it was slow-dancing to Love Me Tender. The set was chaos in the best way – part Nirvana tribute, part Elvis musical, all show-stopping brilliance.

Highlights:

  • Elvis diving into the crowd with a cape on
  • Lithium turned into a soulful rock ballad halfway through
  • Fans singing along in full grunge gear… and glitter boas

🧨 Overall Review

“Is it a tribute? Is it a parody? Is it performance art? Who cares – Elvana rocked the valley and left us all wondering if Elvis actually died in '77… or just joined a Nirvana cover band.”

Most Likely To: Make you dance and cry in the same set
Bring ’em back? Only if we get a mashup of Suspicious Minds and Territorial Pissings.
