Formed in Sydney back in 2004, Wolfmother erupted onto the scene with a sound straight from the '70s but fuelled by 21st-century fire. Think Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple thrown into a kaleidoscopic blender of fuzzed-out riffs, mystical lyrics, and headbanging grooves.
Led by the ever-wild Andrew Stockdale, Wolfmother were part of the new wave of retro-rock revivalists—but they brought enough swagger and authenticity to stand apart. Their self-titled debut became an instant classic, earning them global acclaim, Grammy awards, and a permanent spot on every stoner rock playlist ever made.
